Drell’s varied business experiences give him the advantage of looking at the market from numerous points of view. His initial work experience was that of a “Maytag Repairman.” Besides the entry level experience it helped to pay for college costs. After a two year tour of duty in the U. S. Army, Drell obtain a BBA degree from Ohio University with a major in Economics. Upon graduation Drell took a position with Pittsburgh National Bank. This included various management positions in Commercial Loans, Trust and Retail Divisions.
In 1971, Drell took the position of CFO of a privately owned Millwork, Glass and Paint Distributor in Wheeling, West Virginia. Two years later he purchased the business and grew it from a $2 million to a $100 million business.
During these years Drell has served on various boards, Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce, Wheeling Country Club, Cleveland Federal Reserve Board, Narthex, Inc.,West Virginia LPGA Classic, and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
After retiring to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina in 1995, Drell became a Registered Financial Advisor, Financial Planner holding a Series 6 and 7 broker’s license.
In 2005, the grandchildren from Denton called to say, “come join us.”
